# BoltAI

> BoltAI is a private, native AI workspace for Mac power users. It connects to 300+ cloud and local AI models, keeps chats local by default, and supports AI agents, workflows, documents, web search, code execution, and MCP tools.

BoltAI is a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) application. Customers buy the BoltAI software separately from any usage charged by AI providers. Individual licenses are perpetual and include one year of updates; Cloud Sync and mobile access depend on the license tier and an active Updates & Sync period.
