About BoltAI

One line: BoltAI is a private, native AI workspace for Mac power users.

Short description: BoltAI is a native Mac app that brings 300+ cloud and local AI models into one workspace. You bring your own API keys, your chats stay on your Mac by default, and you can switch models without leaving the app.

Full description:

BoltAI is a private, native AI workspace for Mac power users. It connects to 300+ AI models from providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, Azure, and Amazon Bedrock, as well as local models, so you can switch between them in one app instead of juggling browser tabs.

BoltAI v2 is built for real work, not just quick questions. Projects, chat forking, and reusable agents keep long-running work organized. You can attach PDFs, screenshots, and documents, search the web, generate images, run code, and connect MCP tools. A single keyboard shortcut opens BoltAI over any app, so help is there without switching context.

Privacy is the default. Chats are stored locally and are never used for training. BoltAI is a Bring Your Own Key app: you use your own provider accounts, and you can encrypt your API keys with a passphrase.

BoltAI is built natively for macOS with SwiftUI and AppKit, and runs on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. With Cloud Sync, the same chats, agents, and projects are available on iPhone and iPad.
